Venus evolves constantly. As you defeat his current form, he mutates into a new horror, unlocking massive new arrays of Spells and advancing to higher Tiers.
Your score accumulates as you ascend the Tiers. However, if your light is extinguished and you fall in battle, your run ends and your score resets to zero. Only in death can you log your ultimate score into the Global Leaderboard.
